Healthy Brown Rice Crispy Treats

These are incredibly easy to make, take only about 15 minutes to put together.

 

5 cups of Organic Brown Rice Cereal (don't use the whole box or they will fall apart)

2 Tbsp of Butter, Ghee, Coconut Oil or Organic Vegetable Shortening (you need this to help give it form)

1 tub of Suzanne's Ricemellow Creme - either vanilla or strawberry

Additional flavors you might want to add - like the Sweet Leaf Stevia flavors (Chocolate Raspberry, Vanilla Creme, Toffee, or Cinnamon)

Any other goodies you might want to add - like coconut, chocolate chips, dried fruit, etc.

 

Put the Ricemellow creme and the butter in a small pan and heat at a low temperature till smooth.  Use a spoon or spatula to stir and get the lumps out

till nice and creamy.  After this is creamy you can add additional sweetener or flavors as desired - I like the 4 drops of Chocolate Raspberry.

**BE CAREFUL NOT TO ADD TOO MUCH - always start small with a few drops, stir, then taste - you can always add more if you want.

Pour the 5 cups of rice cereal in a large bowl and then pour in the hot mixture and stir till all the rice is covered.  At this point you can add any dried fruit,

chocolate chips, etc - stir

Pour the whole mixture into a greased (I use grapeseed oil spray) 8x11inch pan

Chill for 1 hour to make the butter hard

Cut into squares and serve - enjoy!
