herbology is the science and art of using plants for healing. This includes understanding
herbs' nutritional components and matching them to nutritional deficiencies in
human bodies. Herbs have been used as natural, therapeutic healing remedies for
thousands of years. TruHealth provides herbs and supplements that help
you cleanse, nourish and strengthen your body's systems. Quality nutritional supplements
provide energy, aid digestion, and improve circulation. Along with an exercise
program and a nutritious diet, herbs and supplements can help you balance your
body chemistry and rebuild/maintain your strength. How
do herbs work?
The body is a chain of interdependently linked organ systems. All of the systems
work together and we are only as strong as the weakest of these body systems.
One weak link does not necessarily cause a health problem immediately, but may
place stress on other related systems, making them work harder to compensate for
the defect. Gaining their own nutritional energy from the sun, herbs transfer
that energy and nutrition to the body's weakest link, returning/maintaining it
to optimal performance. Each
herb contains its own nutritional value, helping you balance different elements
within your body. For
example: A cup of cow's milk contains 288 mg of calcium. It also contains
antibiotics, allergens, hormones and steroids that they give the cows (unless
it is organic), many proteins that are poorly digested and harmful to the typical
human immune system, and it contains no enzymes (pasteurization kills those -
unless it is raw milk). A cup of collard greens contains 290 mg of calcium.
These can be hard to find in most stores and some people don't care for what is
to some a "bitter" taste. A
3 oz. of sardines (with bones) contains 372 mg of calcium. Again, many people
don't care for the fishy taste of sardines. However,
a cup of Valerian Root, contains 4,200 mg of calcium. There are no harmful additives,
and all the necessary micronutrients are also available in the form nature intended.
In fact, there is no other plant in the world that contains this much bio-available
calcium. This doesn't mean everyone should take valerian root, this is just to
illustrate a point of how high in nutrition each herb is and how herbs can help
feed nutritional deficiencies in our bodies in a positive way. top Resources:
