Food Nutrition SYMPTOMS
ARE WARNING SIGNS Having
the ability to heal itself given the right environment, our bodies contain an
amazing collection of synergistic entities controlled by inborn intelligence.
When something in the body is not functioning, symptoms relative to the problem
are exhibited. Conventional medicine often treats/alleviates the symptoms by drug
therapy. This approach can cause unintended side affects that may be worse than
the original problem and will mask an underlying cause of disease. DISEASE
Disease
is defined as a lack of health and results
when any cell is not performing 100% of its designated duty. Today's most common
cause of disease is stress. If you inflict stress upon your body/mind continually,
and you eat mostly cooked and processed food, then your body will not have the
necessary nutrients/energy to repair itself. Researchers now agree that the
average American Diet no longer provides the needed nutrition for a foundation
of good health. Forty percent of middle class American children are severely malnourished,
and adults fare far worse, at about 90%. ("Healing Nutrients",
p 42-52, Patrick Quillin) In
addition, half of all the foods eaten in America are overly processed convenience
foods known to have little if any nutrient value. (Journal of the American
Dietetic Association, vol. 81, p.35, July 1982, & vol. 86 p.339, March 1986.)
To maintain
health, adults and children must eat a diet rich in plant foods. Two reports,
one by The World Cancer Research Fund, and the other by the Committee on the Medical
Aspects of Food and Nutrition Policy in the UK emphasize the importance of increasing
intake of fiber and of fruits and vegetables to five or more servings daily. The
American Cancer Society recommends 10 to 20 servings per day.
